Ballots for the La Mesa City Council election will be mailed out on October 4th and must be sent back by Nov. 2nd. The candidate who receives the most votes will fill the open Council seat until December 2022.Voters The Democratic Woman's Club of San Diego County has endsored Mejgan Afshan.  Running for this position  will include a strong conservative candidate who has run for this position in previous races.  This candidate has a strong backing and will  receive significant votes.  Just as the city Council of La Mesa is in a position to promote a progressive agenda this race could be lost to this republican candidate.
