Meeting reminder tonight

Meeting tonight

Hello ,

Reminder of our November meeting this evening!

Along with a vote on our pending bylaw change, we will be announcing E Board openings, and discuss what it is you want to see in our meetings in 2022!

We will not be holding a December meeting due to holiday celebrations so we hope we can see you tonight before we leap into the next year

Our meetings are also available live on our YouTube channel. Someone will monitor the chat to text into the meeting relevant questions or comments that may be asked there.

 Notice of Bylaw change vote

Reminder that we will take a final vote tonight on the proposed bylaw change introduced at the Oct. 18, general meeting.

Proposed Bylaw change Introduced Oct. 18, 2021, final vote to be taken on Nov. 15, 2021:

Article III: Membership; Section 4 – Voting

The Endorsement Committee is proposing the following change as the deleted language is redundant and does not actually remove the requirement that new members must have attended at least 2 prior meetings in the previous 12 months to vote. This language also removes all ambiguity, so it is very clear who is allowed to vote for Club Officers and Endorsements. The proposed amendment is as follows:

A General Member in good standing who has attended at least two (2) prior meetings, as a member, in the previous twelve (12) months

shall be eligible to vote for Club Officer elections and Club endorsements.

The final verbiage will be:

A General Member in good standing who has attended at least two (2) prior meetings, as a member, in the previous twelve (12) months shall be eligible to vote for Club Officer elections and Club endorsements.

Endorsement Calendar

The Endorsement Committee is proposing the following calendar for endorsement consideration for the June 2022 Primary Election Cycle. This proposal will be discussed during the meeting and we will ask for a motion and vote to accept the calendar as proposed. Please note, district numbering may change based on final results of redistricting for House of Representatives, CA Assembly, CA Senate, County Board of Supervisors, all City Council races and all School Board races. Other changes may occur as the result of redistricting announcements as well.
