In lieu of the January monthly membership meeting,

the Democratic Woman's Club of San Diego County, is encouraging our members and friends to take time to honor the memory of Martin Luther King Jr. by committing to a day of service. We are including a short list of opportunities we have found, or you may search for your own way to give to your community to make a dream come true.

• Volunteer at 35th Annual All Peoples Celebration - Email Miesha Rice   for shift times.

• Hands On San Diego  MLK Day

• Congregation Beth Israel San Diego Interfaith Day of Service

• CSU San Marcos Civic Engagement

• MLK Day of Service in San Diego with AmeriCorps

• Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Festival, Sportfest and Parade - Volunteers needed.

The purpose of the Democratic Woman’s Club of San Diego County is to amplify women's issues through education and advocacy and to foster active interest in the Democratic Party, supporting the party platforms, contributing to party leadership and responsibility, providing a constructive role for the volunteer in Democratic politics, and developing an activist base.

We demand equality of opportunity, a level playing field, and fair and equal treatment for all.

We are dismantling the patriarchy.
