Dear DWC Members and Friends,The Executive Board of the Democratic Woman's Club has decided to cancel the Monday, March 16, meeting. We want to do our part to #flattenthecurve. A great site for COVID-19 information, by Julie McMurry, MPH from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, is flattenthecurve.com. This site is being widely shared for the best up-to-date information and solid ideas for getting through this---such as fun alternatives to shaking hands, without contact and getting a "pandemic pal" to make back-up plans together. Remember, this is everybody's problem now. Be good to your body. Eat good food, take walks, meditate to reduce your anxiety. Rest.And reach out to elderly neighbors and folks who live alone, whom this isolation period is going to hit the hardest. Remember that your older friends and family might need help with shopping. The single Mom with children now at home full time may welcome another adult to talk to.We will get through this. No one knows the future but by doing our best to #flattenthecurve, we will all do our little part to serve each other.
